Yikes Bikes Extravaganza

A new Metchosin Day favourite is the Yikes Bikes Extravaganza!

Ever wanted to show off your bike? Here is your chance at Metchosin Day, Sunday, September 11th, Yikes Bikes Extravaganza – a bike event for all ages from the youngest bike riders to seniors. Bike rider entrants will receive winners ribbons for various categories: best decorated bike, best costume, best bike accessory and most unusual bike. There will be draw prizes and a display of unique bicycles, such as a 6 foot tall unicycle and an all wood frame bike that weighs only 19 pounds. Bike entrant registration is 11am in Village Centre followed by the grand parade throughout the Village Centre Field and Village Green the for judging  followed by awards and prizes back at Village Centre at 12:50pm.

All Ages are Welcome! Bring your friends and family to watch the bikes parade and join in the fun!

Categories for the Yikes Bikes include the following:
Junior Wheelers to age 9
Young Wheelers 10-14
Youth Wheelers 15-19
Adult Wheelers 20-55
Senior Wheelers 56 and up

Ribbons for each category: first, second & third.

Judges will be Sybil and Gary Kangas.
