Food and drink vendors will be available all day throughout the field. Scouts will begin the day with a pancake breakfast for vendors, volunteers and early-birds and then sell hot dogs, hamburgers and pizza from 11am. Mr. Softie’s ice cream truck will be near the CRD water cart with the Lion’s snow cones and candy floss next door. Mini-donuts is situated beside the stage.
The Cobbler Cafe at Metchosin Community House will offer light entertainment, featuring Allison Marshall and her students on harp and piano, while you enjoy your tea or coffee and Cobbler from 11am-4pm. In the fenced yard at MC House, is the tiny tots playground and music for fun to keep the kids busy outdoors! The Metchosin Community Association is serving up hot buttered corn-on-the-cob again and our returning producers, such as Galloping Goose sausages and local farmers are offering treats from their booths at the Village Green. Other food vendors including; Crispy Fish by the antique car show, L’authentique Poutine and Red Wagon Espresso, all available throughout the day.
Thirsty? Grab a glass of wine, beer or cider in the beer garden, which will open at 11am and close at 6pm. Must be of legal age of majority. ID required.
Lamb and Salmon BBQ Dinner
We’ll finish the day with our annual Metchosin Day traditional lamb and salmon dinner.
Tickets will be available at the Ticket/Info booth for $20. each – available ONLY on the day of the event.
CRD Water Cart
Bring your own bottle for free refills.
The CRD’s mobile drinking water cart filling station will be at Metchosin Day this year. Please remember to BYORB (bring your own reusable water bottle) to fill with delicious, safe, cold & refreshing CRD tap water! Every refill helps divert plastic bottles from our waste streams!
Corn on the Cob
Corn on the Cob, island-grown, sweet, hot, and buttery is available from the MCA gang. They’ll have a good supply to munch away, while you sit in the shade and relax while listening to some great entertainment. Even fresh water is there for your dog.
Cobbler Café for Calm and Cool Reprieve At Metchosin Day
Join us for our home baked cobbler along with a cup of fresh coffee or tea from 11am-4pm. Pull up a chair on the covered veranda or inside the Metchosin Community House (adjacent to the Fire Hall) take a break and listen to the soothing sounds of harp and piano, featuring Allison Marshall and students.

This venue is the best kept secret of the Metchosin Day event and there will be an added picnic and shade areas outside, in front of the Metchosin House with Tiny Tots Playground and Music for Fun. Bring the family!
