The 26th Annual Metchosin Day 5km is a locally organized 5k run/walk supporting the Metchosin Community House. Join fellow ‘Metchosinites’ on Sunday, September 8th for a fun, community-oriented, fitness event by lacing up your shoes and running or walking 5K. The course is run on country roads as well as the Galloping Goose Trail and includes the Lombard Rd Hill (read big hill!). Keeping with the theme of being a local rural fun run, age category winners will be awarded fresh Metchosin produce for their efforts. The event has seen a record number of local participants the past 3 years and we would love to see 200 Metchosin residents take part in 2019.
Sorry – no dogs allowed in the Metchosin Day 5K.
START TIME – 8:00am
REGISTRATION – We are encouraging all registrants to register online ahead of race morning to help reduce the line-ups and rush of last-minute registrants on race morning.

- NEW THIS YEAR – After completing your registration share your unique referral link with other Metchosinites and earn prizes for referring new registrants. Let’s all work to get Metchosin active together and hit our goal of 200 registrants in the 2019 Metchosin Day 5K. Participants are welcome & encouraged to run or walk and enjoy our beautiful community!
Registration forms are also available at Metchosin Country Store or Frontrunners Westshore if you are unable to register online. You can pick up forms there, fill them out, and leave them there with cash or cheque. Registrations will be accepted at the Country Store and Frontrunners until 12:00 pm Thursday, September 5th.
After that there’s the more expensive Race Day Registration, Sunday, September 8, 7:00am – 7:45am at the Metchosin Community Hall.
